The obsession with 1
I’ve read some… many.. well a TON of people OBSESSED with 1 bitcoin. I understand the appeal. It’s probably appeals a tad to completionist, or obsessive compulsive tendencies- which is fine. But don’t let the overwhelming desire to have a bitcoin stop you from getting Bitcoin - feeling left out of Bitcoin or thinking that you can’t amass a profit because you don’t have this arbitrary number of sats. Two ways of perception shifting that might ease this thinking Do you believe in bitcoins growth? If so - don’t look at price history but price projection. If you believe it will go up 2x from today. Buy today, and if you’re right, you get 2x gains. Regardless of how much you have, change your perception to how much you paid and how much what you paid for is now worth. That’s it. The actual amount you OWN is irrelevant to this fact. My piece of Bitcoin - I paid this much for - it’s now worth this much. Because everything else, in this mindset, is irrelevant. If that method doesn’t work for you - try perception shifting away from 1 Bitcoin to 100 MILLION SATOSHI. We’d all like to have 100 MILLION of something, sure. But what if you had a million of something or tens of thousands of something? $1 US today buys less than 1,000 sats. But for maybe $11, you can buy TEN THOUSAND SATS. for for $1,100 you can buy a million sats. Go do that. Be a millionaire. Today. A MILLION Satoshi is going to be the number that people aspire to in years to come. People will say - can you imagine having A MILLION Satoshi. But YOU won’t be saying that. Because you got in now. Or earlier. Or DCA’d $5 a week for years to accumulate or whatever you did. A bitcoin is a milestone, sure, but if you make it this huge overwhelming thing that intimidates you out of buying then you’re gonna let your fear and uncertainty deny you entry onto the ride. When Bitcoin was $10,000, people were sad that didn’t have 10 Bitcoin because 10 Bitcoin was $100,000 In the years to come, (possibly) people will be in absolute shambles, crying that they can’t afford 0.1bitcoin because 0.1bitcoin is a $100,000. In years after that, (possibly) people will be completely wrekt, in tears that they can’t afford 0.01 bitcoin because 0.01 bitcoin is a $100,000. Stop worry about what you can’t change. Chin up. Story crying, start stacking. Bitcoin isn’t in its baby steps anymore, but we are still massively early. You, YOU reading this, you’re here early. You’re in. Stack sats. HODL. Take some pride the decisions you can make today because what you can’t do today and whatever you don’t do on the past - you can not change, won’t ever to be able to change, and you can be miserable about it. submitted by /u/GroundbreakingFee416 [link] [comments]
