Mygate elevates two senior leaders to strengthen tech, business functions
Mygate CEO Abhishek Kumar said the changes recognise the long-term contribution of both executives and align executive responsibilities with the company's current priorities.

Community-management platform
on Friday elevated two senior executives as part of an organisational realignment aimed at supporting its next phase of expansion. The company elevated Pranav Shankar to Chief Technology Officer (CTO) from Senior Vice President, Technology, and Rohit Jindal will assume the title of Co-founder, besides continuing as Chief Business Officer (CBO).
Shankar, an IIT Bombay computer science graduate, joined Mygate in 2019 and has since overseen the build-out of several backend systems. He led the engineering team behind the platform’s visitor-approval module, which now processes more than 100 crore check-ins a year, and a payments engine that facilitates roughly Rs 4,500 crore in annual society-maintenance dues.
More recently, Shankar handled Mygate’s push into connected-home devices, a vertical the company says will sit alongside its existing security and facility-management tools.
Jindal joined the company in 2017, when it operated in one city. Drawing on prior roles at Practo, HSBC, and Citibank, he helped scale operations to over 25,000 gated communities across more than 50 Indian cities.
Under his watch, the firm launched an advertising channel—a major contributor to Mygate's revenue—that allows consumer brands to target households inside residential complexes. The company did not disclose figures.
Abhishek Kumar, Mygate CEO and one of its original founders, said the changes recognise the long-term contribution of both executives and align executive responsibilities with the firm’s current priorities: reinforcing its technology stack, expanding non-dues revenue streams, and deepening penetration in Tier I and II markets.
Founded in 2016, the Mygate app manages entry/exit security, amenity bookings, maintenance payments and resident communication for apartment and housing societies.
With these leadership moves, Mygate aims to maintain product stability at scale while exploring adjacent services such as package delivery management and energy-efficiency solutions for large residential complexes, it said in a statement.
