Hear me out, US dollar and Euro has been hovering around kilosat
To me it has never made sense when we measure the value of bitcoin by other currencies, like USD, ($105.000 now). I think if we want more people to actually use bitcoin (or really satoshi) as a unit of currency, now is the time. We are at the best time as bitcoin has been stable and if enough people switch, or at least use it in other settings or platforms, we might make it a standard at least in some communities. As more people use it, more people will be preached, and more other people will adapt to it. For the past few months, $1 is hovering around 1 kilosat €1 is hovering around 1 kilosat Now is the easiest time to switch the mindset of thinking in term of satoshis instead of traditional currencies. I give you an example, let's I just spent 8kilosats for a McDonalds Meal, now its easy to convert to other currencies ($8.6 or €7.5). It might be a long way but it will be easy to make kilosats a norm now and eventually maybe hectosats, decasats, and even sats. Sorry might not be coherent since Im at work while typing this, and this idea just popped up. Still grinding for that 500,000 kilosat home we all dream for. Thanks for hearing me vent. submitted by /u/No-Afternoon-4528 [link] [comments]
