Bitcoin will only succeed if

Bitcoin will only succeed if it remains decentralised and secure. That means, dont buy derivatives of bitcoin. Dont buy MSTR, dont buy any of their other products, dont buy bitcoin treasury companies, dont buy bitcoin ETFs. These are all derivatives, that are at risk of seizure. Do not let bitcoin become co-opted and captured by governments and institutions like gold. If not we are just gonna see paper bitcoin, just like paper gold during the gold standard, and we all know where that led to. Then once you buy your own coins from exchanges, move it to cold storage. As they too are susceptible to seizures, even if they have all the bitcoin that they say they have. Once you got it in cold storage, run a full node yourself. Dont trust others to secure the network for you, we ARE the network. Then if you fancy it, run your own mining rig. This is the only way we can ensure Bitcoin survives, and lead the way for the rest of humanity to thrive in the first ever global free market. submitted by /u/nijjatoni [link] [comments]
