Lighthouse Funds invests Rs 300 Cr in Knest Manufacturing
The investment will be used to deepen research and development efforts, expand Knest’s manufacturing capabilities, and integrate backwards as demand for modern construction solutions rises in the country.

Growth-stage private equity firm Lighthouse Funds on Wednesday said it invested Rs 300 crore in construction technology company, Knest Manufacturing, as demand for modern construction solutions rises in India.
Knest specialises in next-generation building systems, which include aluminium framework and patented hydraulic safety screens.
The new investment will be used to accelerate research and development, expand its manufacturing capabilities, and aid backward integration at the company.
Founded in 2015, Knest provides construction technologies that help project delivery, enhance worker safety, and reduce environmental impact.
"We are building far more than formwork—we are building the future of Indian construction, of high rises, sprawling skylines and sustainable urban ecosystems," said Nitin Mittal, Founder of Knest. "With this partnership, we gain not just capital but a like-minded partner in Lighthouse who shares our vision for innovation, operational excellence, and sustainability. Together, we aim to push the boundaries of construction technology in India and beyond."
The company operates three manufacturing facilities across Maharashtra and Gujarat with an annual capacity of over two million square metres of aluminium framework and an expanding line of construction safety solutions.
This investment is also expected to boost Knest’s sustainability-driven mission. The company’s solutions replace timber-based frameworks, and its products are designed for 150 to 200 reuse cycles, which minimises construction waste.
"Knest exemplifies the kind of future-forward, mission-led company we love to back. They're fundamentally transforming how buildings go up. With a sharp focus on sustainability, safety, and speed, Knest is poised to lead the next wave of construction innovation in India,” said Sachin Bhartiya, Co-founder and Partner at Lighthouse Funds.
