A Casino and Governments that print money have a lot more in common than I like to imagine.

Each one has their own tokens/currencies that won’t be accepted if you go to another casino/country. They make it easier for the house to win. The casino rigs every game to steal a little bit of the winnings. Countries do the same with taxes. Those who are wildly successful in these systems were either cheating, lucky, or have found a legal way around the rules. The people closest to those in charge get benefits and maybe free chips/currency. If you happen to save a chip/dollar for a decade and come back to redeem it later, it likely has lost its purchasing power. People understand that they are being stolen from but still show up every day thinking they can beat the system that is designed to take a portion of everything they do.
