Physis Capital raises Rs 200 Cr plus for maiden fund
Physis Capital aims to invest in 15-20 startups across the stages of pre-Series A and Series B.


Venture capital firm Physis Capital has raised over Rs 200 crore as part of its Rs 400 crore maiden fund. The funding round attracted interest from institutional investors and family offices, including SUD Life, Haldiram’s Family Office, Lotus Holdings, and Narayana Nethralaya, the company said in a statement.
Founded by Vinay Bansal, Ankur Mittal, and Mitesh Shah, Physis Capital expects to raise the remaining capital in the next six to nine months.
This VC firm also said it aims to build a portfolio of around 15-20 startups at the investment stage between pre-series A and Series B. It is also looking to invest in the range of $1 million to $4 million, and has already invested in three startups.
“At present, we have 8 deals in the pipeline and are confident about issuing term sheets for 3–4 of them in the coming months. These investments are expected to close within the next two quarters. The pipeline spans diverse sectors, including healthtech, fintech, consumer brands, and quick commerce,” said

Physis Capital recently made its third investment in STAGE, a hyperlocal OTT platform creating content in Indian dialects like Haryanvi, Rajasthani, and Bhojpuri - serving regional audiences across the country.
