If Bitcoin was created to free us from financial gatekeepers, why are we celebrating when it gets listed on Wall Street?

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. Bitcoin was born out of frustration with the traditional financial system. To give power back to individuals, cut out banks, and avoid gatekeepers who control our money. So why do so many people cheer when Bitcoin gets listed on Wall Street or wrapped into ETFs and futures? Isn’t that just plugging into the very system we’re trying to escape? Is this a necessary step for adoption? A betrayal of Bitcoin’s original vision? Or something else entirely? Would love to hear what you think. submitted by /u/Kooky-Sense4165 [link] [comments]

Is this a necessary step for adoption?

A betrayal of Bitcoin’s original vision?

Or something else entirely?

Would love to hear what you think.
