Flipkart exec Ankit Jain joins Instamart as SVP
Jain was previously SVP and Head of Operations at Flipkart, and was responsible for the platform's supply chain, including quick commerce arm Minutes.

Instamart, Swiggy's quick commerce segment, has appointed Ankit Jain as Senior Vice President of Operations.
Jain, who previously worked at Flipkart as Senior Vice President and Head of Operations, was responsible for the platform's end-to-end grocery operations and large supply chain, including designing Flipkart's quick commerce arm Minutes's supply chain.
He was also responsible for leading the design team at Ekart, Flipkart's logistics arm. Prior to his stint at the ecommerce player, Jain spent over a decade at Unilever.
"Operations at Instamart have seen strong momentum over the past few months—enabling our presence in 120+ cities, expanding into new categories, and scaling our infrastructure with the record addition of 300+ dark stores and mega pods last quarter," shared Amitesh Jha, CEO, Instamart.
"Ankit’s deep, hands-on experience across ecommerce, retail, and FMCG will be a strong force in further strengthening our operations, leading the way in delivery speed, availability, and assortment for our consumers," added Jha.
According to a Moneycontrol report, Jain is expected to replace Sairam Krishnamurthy, the COO of the quick commerce player.
Jain's appointment comes as the quick commerce sector heats up. At a conference earlier this week, Kath McLay, EVP, President and CEO, Walmart International—Flipkart's parent company—quick commerce segment accounts for about 20% of the overall ecommerce business in India, prompting players to take up aggressive store expansion, and customer acquisition tactics.
