Africa needs Bitcoin, so why is the Bitcoin community ignoring it?

For context, the U.S. has over 30,000 Bitcoin ATMs (per CoinATMRadar). Africa, with over 1.4 billion people, has fewer than 20 and nearly all of them are concentrated in South Africa. That’s a massive gap, especially for a technology that’s supposed to empower the unbanked and underbanked. If we’re serious about global adoption, shouldn’t infrastructure be more evenly distributed? Disclosure: I’m working on Bitcoin access infrastructure in Africa, so I see this challenge up close. Curious to hear your thoughts.. submitted by /u/Kooky-Sense4165 [link] [comments]
