Israel and Hamas have reached a ceasefire agreement to end their 15-month conflict in Gaza, according to several media outlets. The deal, mediated by the US, Qatar, and Egypt, includes a 42-day truce and the exchange of prisoners. 

Al Jazeera confirmed the agreement being reached, citing US sources on Wednesday. According to Al Arabiya, the announcement of further details about a cessation of violence will be in Cairo.
