Australian driver Jaylyn Robotham will make his Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour debut as part of Volante Rosso’s lineup for the Intercontinental GT Challenge opener.

The 22-year-old Victorian will share the team’s No. 14 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 with Jamie Day and Mateo Villagomez as the trio target Silver class honors.

Robotham is no stranger to the Mount Panorama circuit, having made three Bathurst 1000 outings in Supercars, most recently last year with Brad Jones Racing.

The former Super2 regular also has some GT3 experience having made three GT World Challenge Asia powered by AWS starts for Climax Racing in 2024.

“I’m really looking forward to the Bathurst 12 Hour with Volante Rosso and its Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3,” said Robotham.

“The car looks amazing and can’t wait to get behind the wheel.

“The Bathurst 12 Hour is one of the last events for me to tick off my bucket list, and hopefully we can get a good result.

“Both of my teammates are Aston Martin Academy drivers, so I’m keen to learn as much as I can. They are both Bathurst rookies, so I’ll be ready to give them as much information as I can about the track, and I know that they’ll be able to help me get my head around the car.

“I really think we have a strong line-up, and I can’t thank Volante Rosso enough for the opportunity to race with them in this iconic event.”

Together with recently-crowned Aston Martin Academy winner and British GT4 champion Day, 19, and 22-year-old Villagomez, Robotham is set to be part of the youngest lineup participating in this year’s Bathurst 12H.

Day rejoins Volante Rosso after making a one-off appearance for the team in GT Australia last year in the three-hour enduro at Sydney Motorsport Park, and shared a car with Villagomez in last year’s GT4 European Series.

Team co-owner Josh Hunt commented: “We feel that we have a very strong line-up of drivers for the Bathurst 12 Hour.

“Despite their young ages, we have an excellent mix of experience with both the cars and the track. They are all going to be soaking in as much information as they can and it will be great to see how they progress over the weekend.

“We’ve had success in this race before. That was a great feeling to be on the podium in 2023, so we’re definitely aiming for more of that this year.”
