‘I’m absolutely gutted’: Ravens’ Mark Andrews on divisional-round loss to Bills

After not speaking with reporters following the Baltimore Ravens’ loss on Sunday, Mark Andrews has finally broken his silence.

The tight end took to Instagram on Thursday to express his thoughts for the first time after facing public scrutiny over a fourth-quarter fumble and a dropped pass on a two-point conversion with a chance to tie the game.

“I’m absolutely gutted by what happened on Sunday,” Andrews said. “I’m devastated for my teammates, my coaches and Ravens fans.”

The 29-year-old finished with 61 yards on five receptions as the Ravens were eliminated in a 27-25 divisional-round loss against the Buffalo Bills.

Andrews, a 2018 third-round pick who has spent all seven seasons of his career with the Ravens, added that he is ready to put this behind him and focus on his future.

“Even though the shock and disappointment are unlike anything I’ve felt before, I refuse to let the situation define me,” Andrews said. “I promise that this adversity will only make me stronger and fuel us as we move forward.”

Andrews is entering the final season of a four-year, $56-million extension signed in 2021, and has been an integral part of the Ravens’ passing game throughout his tenure.

He is 36 catches away from the Ravens’ all-time receptions record and just 248 yards away from the all-time receiving yards record, both held by former WR Derrick Mason.

The Scottsdale, Ariz., native also became the team’s all-time leader in touchdowns last season with 51.
