Ever Rich Duty Free celebrates Lunar New Year with exclusive Omar and Glenfarclas whiskies

Ever Rich Duty Free has introduced two limited-edition whisky collections to mark the upcoming Lunar New Year: Omar Year of the Snake and Glenfarclas ‘Floral Spring Series’. 

The expressions, available in Ever Rich Duty Free shops across Taiwan, combine traditional craftsmanship with festive symbolism.

The Omar Year of the Snake limited editions showcase Taiwanese cultural themes, while the Glenfarclas ‘Floral Spring Series’ pays homage to six generations of whisky-making heritage. 

Omar has crafted two limited-edition whiskies aged in virgin oak and bourbon barrels. Each expression from the Taiwanese whisky brand is limited to 180 bottles, available exclusively with Ever Rich Duty Free. 

The packaging incorporates geometric patterns and bold colour contrasts to represent the balance of wood and fire associated with the Year of the Snake. According to Ever Rich, the design reflects the spirit of innovation and self-transformation. 

The Virgin Oak whisky (priced at US$121) is matured in new oak barrels, delivering strong woody aromas with hints of white pepper and cinnamon.  

The Bourbon Cask whisky, available for US$118, is aged in first-fill bourbon barrels. The expression offers incense and angelica root aromas along with tropical fruit notes such as dried mango and ripe pineapple. 

Glenfarclas’ ‘Floral Spring Series’ includes 17 and 25 Year Old classic single malts, along with an Ever Rich exclusive: the 2001 Single Cask Original Whisky. 

The 17 Year Old Single Malt offers a sweet, sherry-influenced profile with a lingering finish while the 25 Year Old presents a refined, high-aged expression.

The packaging incorporates Taiwan’s natural ecology, featuring colourful butterflies, vibrant flowers and Year of the Snake motifs to reflect the Lunar New Year’s festive spirit.  

The exclusive 2001 Single Cask Original (priced at US$376) is an amber-gold liquid featuring caramel and mild spicy aromas.
