Bright Eyes began tour, played “June on the West Coast” for the first time since 2011 (video, setlist)

Back in the fall, Bright Eyes cancelled the remainder of their 2024 shows, saying that Conor Oberst had lost his voice. He gave an update in October that he was “feeling better,” and on Thursday night (1/16) the band re-launched their tour at The Van Buren in Phoenix. They played a good mix of songs off of their great new album, Five Dice, All Threes, and older favorites from throughout their discography, including playing Letting Off the Happiness track “June on the West Coast” for the first time since 2011. According to attendees, the band were in good spirits and sounded great, and you can watch attendee-taken video from the show, and see the setlist below.

Bright Eyes’ tour currently runs through April, including shows with Christopher Owens, Quasi, Hurray for the Riff Raff, and Cursive, the latter of whom will join them when they stop in NYC to play Brooklyn Paramount on April 17. They’ve also added a couple of summer festival dates in Europe – see all dates below.
