TV Trailers: Outlander, Paradise, Blows, Hawk, Win

A couple of TV series launched some trailers today worth a look.

First, Starz has shared the teaser trailer for “Outlander: Blood of My Blood,” the prequel to the hit series which follows the epic love stories of Claire Randall and Jamie Fraser’s parents.

Harriet Slater, Jamie Roy, Hermione Corfield and Jeremy Irvine star in the series which will launch in the Summer with Matthew B. Roberts serving as showrunner.

Next, Hulu has released the second trailer for its new series “Paradise” starring Sterling K. Brown, James Marsden, Sarah Shahi and Julianne Nicholson and hailing from Dan Fogelman (“This Is Us”).

Brown plays the head of security for a former president. His life begins to unravel when the ex-president is found dead and he’s the primary suspect. The series premieres January 28th.

Hulu has also released the full trailer for its period drama “A Thousand Blows” starring Malachi Kirby and Stephen Graham and releasing February 21st.

Set in the brutal East End of London in the 1880s, it follows best friends on the run from Jamaica who find themselves thrust into the criminal underbelly of London’s thriving bare-knuckle boxing scene.

Next, Netflix has released the trailer for its three-episode docuseries “Surviving Black Hawk Down” about the real events in Somalia that inspired Ridley Scott’s 2001 war film “Black Hawk Down”.

The trailer features interviews with the Army Rangers and Delta Force members who fought in 1993’s Battle of Mogadishu along with residents from local women to the militia soldiers fighting against the Americans. It launches February 10th.

Finally, Pixar has shared the official trailer for its first original animated series “Win or Lose” which is available to stream starting on February 19th on Disney+.

The show follows the intertwined stories of eight different characters as they each prepare for their big championship softball game – insecure kids, helicopter parents, a lovesick umpire and more each offering different animated perspectives.
