Senators’ Thomas Chabot returns to lineup vs. Bruins with full visor

Ottawa Senators defenceman Thomas Chabot had a different look on Saturday.

The 27-year-old returned to the lineup following a one-game absence with a full visor as the Senators were set to face the Boston Bruins on Hockey Day In Canada.

Chabot missed Thursday’s game against the Washington Capitals after being struck in the face by a puck and exiting early in the Senators’ previous game vs. the New York Islanders.

The Sainte-Marie, Que., native had played in all 43 games this season prior to the Capitals contest, putting up three goals and 16 assists for 19 points.

He is in year five of an eight-year, $64-million deal ($8M AAV), and has 278 points in 475 career games for the Senators.

Ottawa sits one point behind Boston for the Eastern Conference’s final playoff spot with a 22-18-4 record.
