More Quarters Neighbourhood Hotel in Cape Town to close – making way for enhanced Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel offering

JOHANNESBURG – MORE Family Collection announces closure of the More Quarters Neighbourhood Hotel and expands upon the Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel offering in Cape Town.

More Quarters Neighbourhood Hotel was launched by MORE Family Collection in 2009 with a vision to create a unique guest experience in Cape Town’s vibrant Kloof Street neighbourhood through independent apartment living.

“We have had tremendous support from those who understand what we tried to bring to the Cape Town accommodation offering, and the guests who stayed with us loved the experience of blending a luxury stay with real neighbourhood living. Unfortunately, this niche offering has not gained sufficient sustainable support, and we have therefore made the very emotional and difficult decision to close More Quarters Neighbourhood Hotel on the 2nd of May 2025,” said Custodian and CEO, Robert More.

In light of this decision – and due to the often-over-subscribed support for the Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel – MORE Family Collection will continue to expand the Cape Cadogan offering with the addition of 10 new suites, which will be called Stable Suites.

The suites will be created in a historic building tucked behind the Cape Cadogan, along a quiet cobbled street that connects the two properties. The current More Quarters Residence will become a second Cape Cadogan Residence available on an exclusive-use basis.

“The new Stable Suites are a superior suite category at the Cape Cadogan and include interleading, triple and two-bedroom suites that can accommodate families of all ages and guests seeking more generous, private living spaces,” says More.

All current More Quarters bookings for travel after the 2nd of May have been upgraded to the new Cape Cadogan Stable Suites, which will be officially available from the 3rd of May 2025.
