The Rams played excellent football in the wild-card round. They sacked Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold nine times and pressured him on 54% of his dropbacks. That’s mind-boggling. However, I don’t think they can do that in this game. The Eagles offensive line is fantastic, with arguably the best tackle combination in the game, with Jordan Mailata at left tackle and Lane Johnson at right tackle. Mailata has allowed just one sack all season. Looking at the Rams offense, yes, they have excellent weapons, with Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp at receiver and Kyren Williams at running back. However, the Eagles allow just 175.3 passing yards (least) and 104.3 rushing yards (ninth-least) per game. The Rams offensive line has been playing better lately, so credit where it’s due, but if the Eagles can replicate what happened in Week 12, the Rams don’t stand a chance. The Eagles pressured Stafford on 31% of his dropbacks in that game. He completed just one pass on seven attempts for eight yards when pressured. He was neutralized.
