“We have been cooperating with Enter Air for almost 15 years now. It is currently the biggest charter carrier at Katowice Airport; it handles approx. 33% of this area of traffic. We are glad that Enter Air became a lessee of one of Katowice Airport hangars and will establish an aircraft maintenance base here. By doing so, we strengthen our strategic cooperation,” said Artur Tomasik, President of the Board of the Upper Silesian Aviation Group.

“Katowice Airport in Pyrzowice is our main operational base. Together with Katowice Airport, we have built the largest charter traffic in this part of the world, and have been flying regularly to many tourist destinations in Europe, Asia and Africa for many years. We had 130 unique destinations in 2024; that’s more than any other carrier offered from that airport. For several years we have been looking for convenient locations to expand our technical services and I am delighted that we have been able to sign a long-term agreement with Poland’s most dynamic airport. Katowice Airport is the undisputed leader when it comes to handling holiday traffic, so our cooperation was the most sensible choice for both parties,” said Grzegorz Polaniecki, President of Enter Air Services.

Enter Air is the biggest private charter air carrier in Poland. It made its debut at Katowice Airport on 21 June 2010. Since commencing operations at Katowice Airport until the end of 2024, Enter Air has carried 6.8M passengers on flights to and from Katowice Airport. In 2024, Enter Air became the first charter carrier in the history of Katowice Airport to serve more than one million travellers on behalf of travel agents in a calendar year, precisely 1 075 762.

Katowice Airport currently has the largest aircraft maintenance infrastructure among all Polish regional airports. There are currently three hangars in Pyrzowice with a total floor area of 22.2K square metres and a total volume of 287K cubic metres. A total of six bays are available for servicing C-Code aircraft. Organisations specialising in aircraft maintenance (MRO), based on the existing hangar infrastructure, offer a wide range of services at Katowice Airport, from line maintenance checks of aircraft lasting a few hours, to rapid turbofan engine replacements, to large base C-Check or D-Check services that take up to several weeks. In the first quarter of 2025, the expansion of the Katowice Airport aircraft maintenance base to include another hangar with two service bays for C-code aircraft will begin. The investment will take approximately one year.
