Deal alert: Points and miles travel deals for January 2025

Editor’s note: Some of the below offers may be targeted. This is a recurring post, regularly updated with new information and offers.

From bonus points on your next hotel stay to generous sales of airline miles, we’re always looking for travel deals that help you earn more points and miles and redeem them for maximum value. In other words, we want to help you book the vacation of your dreams.

Recently, we found Singapore Airlines flights to Europe starting at 17,500 miles, multiple ways to save money at Universal Orlando and a slew of Hyatt promotions. Plus, you can earn 10 American Airlines AAdvantage miles per dollar when you donate to Red Cross wildfire relief until Jan. 22. But that’s not all.

We help our readers each week by rounding up ongoing promotions so they don’t have to scour the internet for the best reward redemptions and offers. This includes everything from frequent flyer programs and hotel rewards programs to credit card offers and rental car deals. Here’s our latest list of noteworthy new points and miles promotions for January.

Airline loyalty program promotions (January 2025)

Airline loyalty programs can offer trip discounts on certain dates, the chance to earn more miles for future travel and deals to rack up points toward elite status. Below are some of the offers we found for January.

Earn double All Nippon Airways miles on transpacific flights

For a limited time, targeted ANA Mileage Club members can earn double miles on select routes to or from North America — which could be helpful if you have your eye on the airline’s couch in the sky.

• Earn double base miles on select transpacific routes to or from North America (U.S., Canada and Mexico) operated by ANA or ANA Group.
• Codeshare flights with an ANA (NH) flight number that are operated by a partner airline are not eligible. All mileage-earning booking classes are included in the promotion.
• Check your email to see if you’re targeted, then register, book and fly by March 12.

Earn 3,000 bonus Frontier Airlines miles for flying this month

Frontier Miles is giving members a chance to kick-start the year with 3,000 bonus miles — but you have to fly by the end of January.

• Earn 3,000 bonus miles when you book and take a single one-way flight.
• GoWild! (Frontier’s all-you-can-fly pass) bookings are not eligible for this promotion, and there’s a limit of one bonus per member.
• Register here, then book and fly by Jan. 31. You must register at least 24 hours before your flight takes off.

Hotel loyalty program promotions (January 2025)

Hotel loyalty programs occasionally offer discounted stays, ways to earn extra points and deals at various properties. Here are some January deals to consider when booking your next stay.

Save up to 20% on Marriott stays booked by Sunday

Marriott Bonvoy Escapes, the program’s last-minute hotel deals, is back with up to 20% savings — but you’ll have to act fast.

• Save up to 20% on last-minute getaways at over 2,200 participating hotels and resorts around the world. Marriott Bonvoy members get 20% off the standard rate, while nonmembers only get 15% off, so you may as well join Bonvoy for free.
• Discount applies to stays Thursday through Sunday at most hotels or all days of the week at resorts.
• Book at least five days in advance with promo code “QRI.”
• Book by Jan. 19, and stay between Jan. 20 and Feb. 9.

Earn double points at Accor luxury properties

Accor Live Limitless points are one of the most valuable hotel currencies, and you can earn twice as many when you stay at participating hotels this winter.

• Earn double rewards points when staying at Fairmont, Sofitel, Swissotel, Novotel and Raffles properties in North or Central America.
• You must activate this offer here, then book by Feb. 28 and stay by March 31.

Credit card promotions (January 2025)

Card issuers sometimes offer deals and discounts for certain cardholders on everything from airfare to dining. Here are some of the offers we’ve rounded up this week. Remember that you must activate these offers on your card and use your enrolled card to make the purchase to earn bonus rewards.

Targeted Chase Offer at Marriott

Still thinking about a ski trip or Valentine’s Day retreat? This offer on the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card can help you save on your next Marriott stay.

• Earn 10% cash back on your Marriott Bonvoy stay (up to $80 maximum) when you spend $100 or more by Feb. 15.
• This offer is only valid one time at all Marriott Bonvoy brands.
• Payment must be made directly with the merchant (as opposed to an online travel agency).

Targeted Amex Offer at Hilton

We found another useful hotel deal, this time at Hilton, on the American Express® Gold Card.

• Earn $150 back as a statement credit when you spend $750 or more at participating Hilton properties in Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America.
• This offer ends March 31.

Targeted Amex Offer at Expedia

To give you even more hotel options, this Amex Offer is good for prepaid hotel purchases at Expedia.

• Earn 10% back on prepaid hotel purchases, up to $125 total, using the link expedia.com/amex.
• This offer expires April 6.

Targeted Wells Fargo Offer at Best Western

Though Wells Fargo’s travel cards are newcomers to the travel rewards space, they offer similar deals to Chase and Amex — like this one, which we found on the Wells Fargo Autograph Journey℠ Card (see rates and fees).

• Earn 10% cash back on your stay at participating Best Western brands when you spend $100 or more, with a maximum of $32 cash back.
• Payment must be made directly with the merchant by Feb. 15.

Targeted BankAmeriDeals on cruises

If you’re dreaming of sailing away to warmer climes, check your Bank of America account to see if you’re targeted for these cruise deals.

• Earn 15% cash back (up to $150 cash back) on your cruise when you book with Silversea.
• Earn 15% cash back (up to $150 cash back) on your cruise when you book with Celebrity Cruises.
• Earn 15% cash back (up to $150 cash back) on your cruise when you book with Royal Caribbean International.
• All of these offers expire Feb. 14.

Ongoing travel deals

In addition to these new offers, many others from previous weeks are still available:

• Earn 7,500 Wyndham Rewards bonus points for any two nights that you stay at participating hotels, up to a maximum of 15,000 bonus points total. Register and then book directly by Jan. 16; complete your qualified stay(s) by Jan. 20.
• Earn double Emirates Skywards miles on all fare types and cabin classes on Emirates and Flydubai flights. Register and book by Jan. 24; travel by March 23.

• Earn 5,000 bonus points when you join IHG One Rewards and complete your first stay. Set up your new account through this link, then book and complete your stay within 21 days of joining. This offer has been extended through Jan. 31.
• Earn 5,000 bonus Best Western Rewards points when you stay three nights, either separate or consecutive, at any Best Western hotel in Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Pakistan, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam. Register here, then book and complete your stay(s) by Feb. 2.
• Earn double Marriott Bonvoy base points on all qualifying Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy stays of three or more nights, with a minimum spend of $1,500 (or equivalent). Register and book by Feb. 13; you’ll have until Dec. 30 to complete your stay.

Targeted Amex Offers

• Get a one-time statement credit when you spend at least $250 on one or more room rate and room charge purchases at participating Staypineapple boutique hotels. This offer ends Jan. 25.
• Get $150 back as a statement credit when you spend at least $750 on one or more room rate and room charge purchases at participating Omni Hotels & Resorts in the U.S. and Canada. Enroll by Feb. 20, and complete your stay by March 20.
• Earn a one-time $100 statement credit after spending $500 or more on room rate and room charge purchases at the Hard Rock Hotel New York in New York City. This offer is valid until Feb. 28.
• Get $100 back as a statement credit when you spend at least $500 on one or more room rate and room charge purchases at participating Hilton properties in Nevada. This offer expires March 17.
• Earn a $250 statement credit after spending $1,000 or more on property rates and charges incurred at the time of reservation for Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy properties. This offer expires April 13.

Targeted Chase Offers

• Earn 10% cash back (up to $42 cash back) on your one-time Frontier Airlines purchase either online or in-store at participating locations in the U.S. This offer expires Jan. 23.
• Earn 5% or 10% cash back (up to $40 cash back) on your Southwest Airlines purchase when you spend $50 or more directly with the merchant by Feb. 15. Earn 10% cash back on purchases of flights that occur in February 2025 or 5% cash back for other qualifying purchases.
• Earn 10% cash back (up to $32 cash back) on your Best Western stay when you spend $100 or more directly with the merchant by Feb. 15. This offer is valid at domestic Best Western, Best Western Plus, Best Western Premier, Vib, GLo, Aiden and Executive Residency properties; SureStay Hotels and WorldHotels are excluded.

Keep in mind that these offers are targeted. You need to activate them prior to making an eligible purchase to receive cash back, bonus points or miles.
